exhaust system, ecu upgrade and airfilter

I recently acquired my first BMW. It is a used 2002 E46 325 model. I was wondering if anyone could suggest what is a good performance upgrade? I was thinking of upgrading the exhaust system, re-map or change the ECU and perhaps install a new air filter.Will there be a significant increase in horsepower if I were to undertake the above modifications ? What will the cost be ? I need your assistance.

Intake - K&N Filtercharger RM250 (minimal increase if any at all)
Chip - Superchip RM1800 (up to +15bhp)
Exhaust - AC Schnitzer RM3500 (negligible increase if any at all - but sounds beautiful!)

ooh... oooh...u might want to consider pulleys.. hehe.. actually i have a set by UUC for sale.. just took them out today.. my new 'upgrade' requires me to revert back to stock pulleys... cheap cheap only lar.. just to get you 'started'.. :nyehehe: :nyehehe:

ooh.. btw, i was offered a used (few days i was told) acs muffler selling rm2800..

I think adding chip would be a good way to boost performance. But, where to get the chip-superchip? and would it increase much on the fuel consumption?

Superchip is available from EKS Motorsports. You dont get free bhp for nothing so yes you will consume more fuel as a trade off and you need to maintain your car well (ie. more frequent oil change, use better fuel, etc.)

guys,
for your models, the chip is actually a software upgrade..
dont' waste your money on software,you wont get any hp's on your engine only 1 hp !
value for money is exhaust , extractor if got more moolahs get a shrick cams; but only little hp's...
the M54 engine is well tuned and you won't get any more hp unless you supercharge or turbo charge !!

Superchip alone wont help, exhaust alone wont help ... combine them together ... chip for more fuel and extractors/headers with tuned exhaust system all the way back, you get a reasonable streetable monster. Then you talk cams, heads, max-flow filters, blah, blah, blah!!

"What goes in must come out" ... this principle holds true till today from the time cars were first built.
