I was looking for a 325(i) manual but that seems hard to come by, so when I found a 318(i) manual at an attractive price and condition I just grabbed it (needed a transport to run around). I've come into conclusion that I'd either do a custom supercharger kit or look around for a 325(i) manual transplant when I've fully utilised the current engine until it needs an overhaul (that's when the transplant issue comes in). SR20 is my last choice as I'd prefer to keep a BMW engine than rojak but it sure is an attractive alternative (approx RM5k for 200+hp).

Trust me... No jap engines please... trust me... after what happened to me last night.. trust me!!!

there are two E36 M50B25manual Original in Penang near my place for sale....why not get that..!!!??

I dun mind getting it if moolah allowed. :)

What year and how much do they go for? Haiyaa I barely used the car for a week only la.... but my friend wants to buy mine if I want to sell it so still can consider.

nikazwaa.. sorry to hear about your incident but what actually happened? Actually I think all engines have potential problems just want to have something that is not too expensive to maintain (in the event of something breaking down), so M3 is definately out for now..keekeke I've heard horror stories from both Jap and German engines.. one of my supplier's customer bought an e28 and the engine died on him, later the radiator fan broke and total bill for the month came to RM25k :beaten:

huh RM25K???? r u sure its e28 or issit e38? if its' e38, RM25k sounds logical.... but if its e28, for RM25k of repair bills, he is better off buying another e28, unless he is repairing an M5 or M535i... ;)

ok made up my mind after checking with my tuner, I'm going turbo! Since I already have a spare TD05 from my previous car all I need is a customised banana manifold, intercooler, piping and fuel regulator to run at stock boost. Will post some pics during and after the turbo kit installation.

Great...do update us on the project. This is something new! Well, to me anyway.
