Hello,Anyone heard about this wonderful thing lately? :listen: Or, anyone out there already got this thing installed? It uses a Lysholm twinscrew supercharger. Very compact and clean install. Very low boost at only 7psi. For M54B25 engine you'll get 290bhp:top: . Still a long way to go if you compare will Alpina but it is a marked improvement from the original 192 bhp.

Halo kawan, kalu saje mau bikin cerita ...... pls don't waste people time reading yr post or .... you got nothing else to do except wasting Club bandwidth. ....

...... club fees tak mau bayar pulak tu. .... tapi using club facilities pandai ....

Before you talk about SC or modification, pls modify yr car first ...... at least change the rim ke , absorber ke. Yr car make the owner looks like ' cikgu sekolah melayu pencen la.'

7psi is about 0.47 bar.

Maximum gain then is about 91hp. Then minus parasitic (belt driven) and flow losses, probably gain 60-70 hp at most (depending on compressor efficiency).

SC for E46 318Ci

Hi guys,

I have always wanted the extra 'boost' for my ride. Had done some trawling in the net and forums. Am quite set to sc the car rather than go the 'turbo' route.

I may be wrong and/or misled, but unfortunately, I have not come across any sc for my E46 318Ci :2: . Would any of you sc gurus here shed some light for me please. Any information would be greatly appreciated. My thanks.

Stock 328 M52 auto would give around 145 wheel Hp - if SC can boost this to even 210 wheel hp - that would be additional 65 wheel HP gain and if this can be done than I think its the best investment to HP gain you can get!:top:

145hp ?? I have seen many M52 328 (e36 or e46) pushing 160 whp at various dyno machines. Anyway, thats not important to this discussion.

ESS has a dyno published for the e60 m54b24 TS2 upgrade(8psi),makes 246rwhp/300bhp for the steptronic.
but very expensive wo.. USD7995!!! The cheaper TS1(7psi)only makes 275bhp,priced at USD6295 but comes without the Laminova liquid intercooler which I think is very good to have in our climate.

The same TS kit on other series(e46/e39)apparently makes a little more power for the same boost..need to find out why.End of the day though, its not the amount of horsepower that matters but the quality of the delivery that I personally would look for.

supergrippen,

i can vouch for the ESS kit after having experience and sat in one of our forumers 528i with the ESS kit complete with bigger injectors and full ESS programing about a week back, its a perfect setup, No CEL, No lean issues, idles like normal, just perfect.

i always have doubts about getting software from abroad of which i personally had a bad experience with TMS and dinan on my e36 328, eg, idle issues, low spots and performance overall. and forget about getting a piggyback to do the work, our local tuners here sucks bigtime and they know nuts about tuning continentals. But having sat in this ESS kitted car, i am just sold...the car is a perfect gem, runs like a stock car from factory at startup to about 1500rpm and with the mash of the pedal or a downshift of gears turns the cars into a bullet train, the torque just kept propelling the car all the way til 235kmh and that was only til 4th gear at 4kplus rpm, more to go but had to slow down for a turn off to our exit. the road was also a short one, from the desa hartamas overhead bridge til the jalan damansara turnoff, so you can imagine the performance..oh did i mention this is also a automatic 5er.

anyway if you are interested in getting the ESS kit for your car, i think you can contact him as he is getting a ESS dealership account with them, i think he can even install the system for you which he did on his own car. he is kinda anal to the tiniest details even to the extend of ceramic coating the aluminum colour parts to satin black just to make the whole engine bay looks like its as it is from the bmw factory. so i think you will be in safe hands... you may pm me for his contact, nice guy, not a mech but very technically inclined.
