Engine Stop because of Temperature

Hi all..I am posting on behalf of a friend.The car will eventually stop when its reach certain temperature (considerably low, not that hot that it suppose to cutoff/shutoff the engine).Suspecting a sensor problem - this fella afraid to go to AB (takut mahal katanya).Does anyone faced the same problem before? How to solve? (Please advise cheap cheap solution larr...:cool:)

BMW's aren't Protons. Solutions are never cheap when they go wrong. If they are, they'll probably ruin the car.
My advice would be to seek professional help, either at AB or one of the BMW specialists.
It's a small price to pay for Joy ;)
 
BMW's engine will stalled is when the engine is overheating due to loss of compression.

Check for loss of coolant. Loss of coolant is due aging of the cooling system like expansion tank,
radiator, stuck thermostat, leaking hoses.

Better get it check ASAP to prevent overheating again or you may end up with an hefty bill in overhauling the engine.
