Engine Oil

Hi,I just want to ask about the engine oil.what is the best engine oil to use for engine M40 E30 Is that possible if i use any brand with 20W 50?Before this i use the Mobile 1, After 6 month use i want to change to a new engine oil. right i'm verry broke....So , plz anyone tell me about the engine oil spec for E30

The correct weight is 10W40 (recommended by BMW)........20W50 is too thick for the M40 engine. You can use any reputable brand, but I would recommend Castrol GTX Extra, cheap and good.

Since u and me also budget conscious, get the original's BMW HIGH POWER OIL 15W-40, very cheap also. I'm using them on my M40 316i, costs SGD$7.50 per 1 lit bottle. Dunno how much cost in M'sia. hehehe
