Engine & Gearbox Oil Recomendations

Hi all sifu,

Can anyone recommend the best engine oil and gearbox oil suitable for E90 320 2006. I'm new in BMW :63:
Also can advise for the price...

As for your enquiries pertaining to motor oil, just use any 5W40 or 10W40 fully synthetic. And for transmission, you gotta use ZF6, original transmission oil by gearbox manufacturer.

I usually get my oil from TESCO, Castrol magnatec or EDGE depending which one is on promotion,
magnatec Rm90, EDGE Rm150

Firstly u need to know the recomended viscosity of the oil specified for you engine. What I suggest to you to do, the simpkest way is log in to castrol website and refering from ur engine model, there will be 3 engine lubricant recomemded, 1st recomendation, 2nd recommendation and 3rd recommendation. If your engine is in good efficiency condition (ie below 100k km mileage), take first recomendation. Or else take second recomendation.
