Oh no, i think my gears when nuts on me. Got the little icon next to my D / P / R / N, when it slows down the gears jerks pretty hard. I've stopped aside and turn off and on the ignition and its still the same..Any idea what could be the problem?

Could it by any chance be the fuel you're using?

That's the error message for your gearbox ... Have it check with your mech using GT1 asap

opps.. the air fearing GB warning symbol..

If after restart car, it is still there, then there is a problem on the auto tranny.

Get it check ASAP. and be prepare to pay >RM3K for overhaul.

or it might be a faulty solenoid or choked filter or low ATF or hydraulic pump.

Started the car this morning and the air fearing GB warning symbol (Thx to Jarance) was gone.

But I drove to a nearby BMW specialist (Benzone Auto Care @ Subang USJ) and got my ATF oil changed. Color was brownish.

Below are the costing details:-

1. Auto Transmission Flush (Powermaxxx CSG) x1 - RM 75 .00
2. Filter Gear Box (Original) x 1 - RM 98.00
3. Gasket Gear Box (Original) x 1 - RM134.00
4. Gear Oil (Esso) x 7(Rm40) - RM 280.00
5. Labour - RM 120.00

Its running smoother than ever!

Yup its almost 180k.

But apparently when i bought the car at 150K mileage, i've changed everything. Advice from Benzone was "the previous guys who serviced my ATF oil didn't follow the indication at the gear oil cap under the car.

What do you think?

bro, what indication does it say on your gear oil cap? What model are you driving?

Can i just confirm that you only experienced (physically) jerks during downshifts and not upshifts?
Before that icon pop-out, was it as smooth as ever or was there any indication that it was gonna appear?
