EGM/Castrol Oil Talk At Ingress Auto

aw mannnn... i wanted that euro pack. I was told by the guy at Ingress that they use Petronas synthium special formula when i go for oil change. why not Castrol??

for our hot weather i assume 5-40W?

BMW SC engine oil spec is either Petronas Syntium or Shell Helix, both 5W-30 BMW LL-04 .. the recent Sauber Petronas BMW F1 partnership has affected the SC oil supply to switch from the former Shell Helix, yet the process is still on going.

Actually it all depends on the dealer. Sapura and Ingress are using Petronas Syntium for the oil service while Auto Bavaria is using both Syntium and Helix. When I was in Ipoh recently, the dealer there uses Castrol Edge
