:eek: GEARBOX DIED ON ME!e30 dogleg

bros. ride is a e30,320i 1985, when i was driving last nite i sensed that something was wrong ,so i stalled beside the road and disengaged my gear, tried to re-engage my gear and i cant anymore! all of the gears are blocked and i'm stuck to neutral .towed her to the mech. i suspected to be some clutch problem. but my mech said my gearbox has jammed. and it is not servicable,thus i have to change the whole thing.and this gearbox is hard to find... i dont understand what does it mean, "jammed" ..and was just wondering if anyone had any experiences with this? wat are the alternatives that i can do. or wat are the solutions? i'm LOST.

Unless the gear tooth inside broken off or something fallen off inside...oh dear

wha...I read that the gearbox is virtually hard to break. I dun think its jammed.

actually I read from UK Forum the Dog Box not so robust one......

psst...this why I change gear like uncle.....slow n firm!

my car's in M-speed, i'm relatively new in this,
ah meng and John told me that the gearbox has jammed ! they keep saying that its not the clutch problem, clutch not haus yet anyways. possible kah?


replacing it's gona cost me including labour 2k+ .....koyak aku punya poket.
