E90 rear windscreen replacement

Hi,anyone have the experience of replace the rear windscreen ? My Allianz insurance cover 5K and the rubber already cracked at corner part. Any idea how much is the cost for ORI ? My Allianz insurance cover 5K. Thanks.

You could find few windscreen shops along jalan pahang, after mc d towards balai polis setapak to your left. They can quote either ori or oem. They have the rubber seal as well.

5K should be enough to cover for the replacement.

i did mine for front for about 2K.(OEM).

Thanks everyone. I was quoted by Allianz panel A one Autoglass at Taman Maluri for RM4300 complete with rubber and Llumar tint for rear/back windscreen.Just wonder is the rear windscreen much expensive than the front ? I have changed the front in ori Pilkington with tint is about RM 2500 2 years ago.

Sounds expensive even though with llumar tint. But doesnt matter much since u have insurance coverage.

Yup Kama...have checking around too and was told that the rear windscreen is much expensive than the front because it comes with heater, top and bottom rubber. Actually Llumar tint is an optional.

Learn from experience that cover up to 3K will be sufficient and change the tint at your preference outside, otherwise if you insured 5K, panel will try their way to claim higher. I was over covered for the pass 8 years at 5K.

Yeah 5k should cover, changed my front windscreen after few rounds to dr cermin fixing the small hairline crack..quite shocking seeing the ori and oem price.. visibly almost the same but quality might be diff..

The ori Pilkington is about RM 2500 for front windscreen but you really can see the different even after 5 years. I won't say OEM is no good but for some reason cost cutting measure, it can be used.For my case definately have to cover at minimal of 3K as I use to drive NKVE at the risk of flying stone chips due to heavy lorries and trucks. The premium is 15% of the sum insured, so is RM 450 cover 3K just buy a piece of mind.
