Hi guys/gals,My car is approaching it's 3 year old birthday and I was just wondering whether any of you include windscreen coverage in your insurance and what is the value insured for windscreen?Muchas gracias in advance for the info:help::bandit:

Best is to call AB, Ingress auto, Sapura to find out wats the price of new windscreen plus installation. Then insure it for tht price

E90 windscreen quoted by AB as follows:

1. Frt windscreen: RM 3,348.00
2. Frt windscreen rain sensor: RM 511.08
3. Frt windscreen top moulding: RM 58.32
4. Frt windscreen sealant: RM 85.68
5. Frt windscreen bottom moulding: RM 41.29
6. Labour to replace frt windscreen: RM 468.00

Total: RM 4,512.37

You can also do the repair at a reliable workshop outside (let me know if you are keen) and their price is lower than RM 4,000.00. Good workmanship basing on my experience with them.

You may also factor in the price for V-Kool tinted glass for front windscreen at RM 600.00. So you should do insurance coverage at the amount of RM 5,200.00 which will be sufficient enough.

rookie just to share with u my experience replacing my front windscreen, but my car is not E90 its E87. Anyway, my windscreen crack just 2 weeks after the delivery, i called Sapura and my SA said all I have to do just send my car to replace it and also renew back my insurance coverage for my windscreen which is RM600. That is all that I have to do, and im happy with their workmanship :4:

Windscreen coverage costs 15% of sum insured, so RM5000 would cost RM750.00 pa

Drive faster, then oncoming air stream will lift the foreign object up and away from your windscreen.. :D or yes, and don't go and cucuk SUV/MPV la.. :D

I'd got my 1st windscreen crack on my 2nd day driving my new baby at 140km/h and an Audi A4 pass through me and 'donated' me a piece of stone as well. Called AB and they advice to patch the mirror rather than claim it (RM 4k) as I wouldn't be able to insure the windscreen policy again for the rest of the year. Patch job was charged at RM 80, and it only left a hole as big as a needle (which you can only see it if you look for it carefully).

However, as I recall correctly previously when I was driving a Toyota and got a windscreen crack, I was able to claim it immediately and then insured it back within the same insurance coverage year, so is this windscreen claim policy varies according to insurer or according to car type and price range?

Anyway, moral behind the story, beside don't go cucuk SUV/MPV, don't let an Audi overtake u, die die oso must win the race next time, even if it's only the 2nd day of driving your new baby...
