Guys, help me here. How much to service the aircond? And what do they do? how much is an o'ginal filter or the OEM? any advice is appreciated. I went to one shop in Glenmarie and he said it starts from 550 and depends on what things to fix and change. He say the dashboard has to come out. has to part ways with my car for one day. Another shop in Maluri ask for 3 days to service the aircond. I said no thanks. Thot of getting your advice before making any decision.Btw, the aircond smells like glue or chemical, any experience? Tks in advance.

There's a shop in dataran otomobil shah alam that service aircond without taking the dash out. They will replace or refill the gas and aircond oil whilst checking whether the compressor is ok or not. That's about the price being quoted but i believe if u search hard enough, there's one shop in sunway that offers the same service for 350.

Just my 2 cents, the reason why some shops need a few days just to service aircond is because for a thorough service, they will need to check & clean the cooling coil which is located at the very deep center of the dashboard. It's ALOT of work just to get to the cooling coil as the entire dashboard, steering, radio, gear console have to be removed. I recommend to send to a BMW specialist to get this done as there are so many hidden screws/ledges/clips that regular mechs may not know about..

Any recomended aircond workshop in Puchong that fimiliar with E90

Had my E90 since 2006, the Aircond work like charm. Never had any issues whatsoever. Why do you need a service? Any problem with the Aircond or just a preventive measure?

Preventive cost a few hundred, repair cost a few thousand :)
