for RM1.3K, the major cost is on the cooling coil.
I believe I did my compressor another time but it cost me about RM300 for the bearing, clutch and compressor oil.

Lemme find out but it definitely won't reach RM1.9K. Just tell Naidu you are from the club. You can mention my name or many others who have been there.

That statement is good enough to make me dash to Naidu today :)

make sure you ask first. Just in case you have to replace more than mine.

I did:
1. Cooling coil
2. Valve
3. Aircond filter (in the engine compartment)
4. Remove dashboard
5. Replace dashboard sponge
6. Clean up AC system
7. Compressor oil
8. Refill refrigerant

Some other things you might wanna watch out that Naidu might ask you to change would be:
a. AC belt pulley (he will try to sell you his own invention)
b. AC belt
c. Microfilter (under dash)

I used the copper cooling coil. It is not as cool as the aluminum coil but lasts much longer (was told). So, you have two choices.

Didn't know cooling coil got 2 types. So must be the alu ones cost more as well.

Anyway, thanks for the info. I'll ask him to quote me first but most likely I'll do it at Naidu since I see most of you fellas here go to him and is satisfied with his job.

After end up like the other quote I got for rm3k :beaten:

there is another guy by the name of Kenny in Kelana Jaya but I've never been there. heard he's good too but a bit pricey.

One thing about these mechs is that never let them feel comfortable that they are the only ONE. Some start becoming complacent and cut on quality work and then up their pricing. Always make sure they know that they are always in competition.

Ya, I've been to Kelana Jaya, my Alfas were done there, if HE himself does the job, it's OK but nowadays his apprentices does the job which flunks.

That's quite true about being the ONE and only one. End result is pricey and return faults and low QC.

Just came back from Naidu. Not cheap, asked how much do everything except change compressor -> 2.8k
