E60 Xenon HID Bulb

Hi Any E60 owner has changed their xenon light bulb from the original to a whiter version (6000K) ? If so please advise brand and where to buy it. I was advised certain brand may cause faulty sign to appear from the system so I just want to make sure I got a tested and ok one. Thanks

I think PIAA is the trusted brand and you can get it at SS2, Autotechnika or Damansara Utama, Autofuture. Good Luck

i've changed mine to 8000k ...... pics ...http://chypmun.spaces.live.com and LED tail lights as well...also got a mild version of sprint booster =)

Sorry to bring up this old thread. But would like to gather some updated info on the xenon bulb upgrade. Any forumers done the upgrade to 6000k recently? If yes, mind to share the cost, brand & feedback.

I just change to 4000K++ and it cost me RM550

Option 1 - 6000++ (White Blue) - Worry JPJ kacau
My choice : Option 2 - 4000++(White Yellow)

Option 1 - PIAA - around RM 1500
My Choice: Option 2 - HID H11 (i think is Bosch) - RM 550++ - I choose this ( So far So good ) + Wash Head Lamp and Luminated (Good Quality) - RM 380
Option 3 - China made - RM 200++ - High Risk! (not for UDM)
