Hi guys,Something interesting to share with you guys who have the e60 (or cars that have a LCD Screen )I Just got my car(e60 japan spec) installed with a DVD changer, ipod video adapter, and reverse camera...all this are connected to the main...we need not need to install a new lcd screen.. Installation took me approximately 3 hrs... very profesional.... And the best part is i can watch my DVD while in motion.... quite cool..The damage :RM 9,000 inclusive of installation in Msonic...located in Kampung Baru...RM 9000 - i)Pioneer DVD Changer 6Discii) Eclipse Reverse Cameraiii) Ipod Video Cableiv) one module that connect to the e60 main.v) Installation.....Already installed for my car..... and quite cool....I was there throughout the installation process, and certify that there is no wire need to be cut... Cheers guys....Msport

hey man I would have thought 9k can get more!..

you must be in traffic alot for you to want video to kill boredom.

look into an ASTRO install..I know the technology is out there(in the US)

your setup sounds cool though!

it connects to my idrive...and its like original....

cos mine is a japan spec and there is no reverse sensor....therefore thought the reverse camera was of help...

My other cars (UK and local specs) all have the reverse sensor...and i pretty much depend on the sensor though...u know like u used to hear the beeping sound and suddenly you dont.... just one fine day u hear a sound and that sound my cost you .....and it might not be u who is driving you, could be the driver or even the valet jockeys who takes for granted sometimes...

Just thought that this was good so share with you guys here... i installed it in Msonic in Kampung Baru... near the naza showroom...

if u used other china brand dvd player cum with radio tuner, u save alot .... and the reverse camera (local china made) would save u quite alot...perhaps less than 5k

but i chose to install a better one... thats why its 9k.... DVD alone ---> 6k....

Yes Guru, there is this statellite thingy but apparently its not clear while u drive... so am not sure..

hahah.. cheers.

Bro.. are u sure all the above only cost u 9k? Mine was 6k only for the module and reverse camera and i installed it at m.sonik also... for the setup like yours they price me 11k...

so how much is the video interface alone. The sound of your DVD have to use radio frequency right which is not so good sound quality

ACM Module is also of that price range with an aftermarket dvd player and reverse camera...

i think it's even better compared to your current aftermarket video module...

but, to tell you the truth, the best solution is to retrofit audio aux input first before doing this mod...the sound outputwill have the same quality of when playing a cd, not like your current setup now via radio frequency.....

with the audio aux, it will support dts/dolby and it'll sound awsome....

just my 2 cent....

bro,i've read thru the e60.forums thread link u posted..great stuff as having DVD and iPod is my next step in the car's ICE upgrade.

is anyone selling the ACM locally and where did u have urs installed? so far,all the aftermarket solutions that i've found involves RF thus not cd quality.
i'd like an install similar to urs..can u point me in the right direction?

Why punch a hole when you're getting an acm? you can add the oem reverse camera on your car. you don't need to open up a hole, it's built in together with your boot latch... i have an oem on my car.
the cameras on the front are not actually for front view, but for side views...i don't have these...

i'll post pictures on it later.....
