Dear all Sifu,I am considering getting a E60 525 yr 04. If i am not mistaken, is running on the M54 engine rather than the newer N52. Jus wan to find out the difference between these 2 engines? Any problems with the M54 engine n gearbox? Wat about the maintenance of the M54 engine compare to the N52? Will appreciate all your advice so that i can make up my mind whether to get the yr 04 or the yr 05 with then N52 engineThanks...

you can actually do a research and read up on the engines from BMW at wikipedia...

N52 - 218bhp
(mine is the new one)
You will have to buy E60 late 2005 in order to have the new N52 engine (they called it Magnesium engine in Motor Trader) but it will cost about RM290k... but 2004 model should be about RM250k - 260k... negotiate hard my friend
My opinion, if you take good care of your car... maintenance should be OK.
One more thing... M54 engine can be tuned using ECU re-map... more powerful after that but will cost more than RM2k
N52 - 218bhp
