Delivered and diagnosed by the mechanic they find out it was a Torque Converter and Oil Pump malfunction. I have to wait for approximately a week for the parts shop to re open for business. The mech suggested to me for a total overhaul for the gear box but it was way to expensive for me (cost about RM7500), so I just did the repair for the malfunction parts only(Cost about RM3800).

jarance;767152 said:There are no symptom when the Aux oil pump will failed. When it goes, all the ATF will gush out from the failed oil seal bushing.
The problem of the failure is cause by the failure of the Gearbox support mounting. When the rubber is harden or cracked,
it will cause the GB and engine and drive shaft to be misaligned. This misalignment will put undue stress on the shaft of the
the torque converter and bushing of the aux oil pump. The shaft of the TC will wear down and ATF will leak out. When the
bushing fail, the ATF pressure will force the ATF to spurt out of the GB. White smoke will come out from the ATF splashing
on the exhaust..
So change the GB mounting if you have not done so. it only will cost you a few hundred buck as compare to RM2K for the
replacement of the aux oil pump and TC.
Your GB problem could be due to sticky solenoid valves or the wrong type of ATF being used when you change the ATF oil.

wingzee;767184 said:I have checked mine a month ago and all seems fine according to mech, no cracks. Just replaced the rear axel mounting. Are sticky solenoid valves detectable via diagnose? Mine only jerks when upshifts (always during 3rd to 4th gear from my observation). However, there is no jerks at all throughout the gears if I'm on tiptronic mode.
Did went to M-Scope once few months ago and was unable to detect any fault at all during diagnose and wasn't able to replicate the jerk as mostly happen only during uphill, steep ascend.
Am prepared to fork out 5k just to replace the GB (if it's faulty) but just would like to know the root cause for now.

anaksarawak;767888 said:May I suggest that you check your gearbox with a specialist like M scope before it turn worse. Sometimes it's just the wrong ATF fluid or valve body need cleaning.
wingzee;767896 said:Went to M-Scope and they couldn't detect any fault bro. May try Bomin when I go for my regular oil change next month.

My son E46 2.2 has the exact problem you describe. Upon checking the gear box mounting has cracked. Oil pump damages and oil gushing out with white smoke as well on the tail. Since there is a sign of metal debris on the magnet in the pan, I've been advised to rebuilt the gear box instead of just change the oil pump.
jarance;786871 said:I was also told to rebuilt the gearbox as well. I ask the wshop to hold the work first. Since the GBox is going to be dismantle for the replacement of the Aux Pump, you can inspect the condition of the internal part before deciding on whether to rebuilt or not. As for me, I drove about 50KM to the workshop when the oil was gushing out. When they drain the oil, there was about 1 liter left. Luckily for me, there was no metal filling in the oil.
Wshop also told me the Gbox internal part was clean when they examine it.
So, I just change the aux pump and later the Torque converter as it was found the shaft was worn out. BTW, got a second hand for the TC.
BTW, the magnet in the oil pan will catch some metal filings. This is normal. I have seen this when I change the ATF oil during one of my routine maintenance.
