e46 a/c compressor

My a/c compressor is making sound lah. according to AB need to replace the whole compressor as per BMW recommendation. new cost rm 4k. can the compressor be services or repair. if can, where?can get from kereta potong shop??

u can buy it at singapore...the recon wan only 200+ sing dollar.new wan cause around 500..

yes, strongly recommend naidu...will for sure be much less than 4k..good luck

i actually serviced my E46 a/c compressor at naidu's last week.
RM240.

didn't give me any problems before, but i serviced it anyways coz its 6years old already...

hope it helps....also, you'll probably need to change the belt tensioners RM320 for 2 nos....

oh ya...your fan belts too probably needs replacing if its worn...probably the noise is from there as well...

Mine is making a loud "clucK" sound when it turns off during idling/parking. Any idea is naidu can fix that? Heard its the compressor clutch bearing.

thanks for all the feedback. i just change my fan belt and mine is related to the compressor clutch. can naidu fix it? any number to call before i go?

Fren, u try to contact Ah Yau, he is a AB Segambut Chief Tech. & is outsourse the job in house, dun worry he is after 5pm start to services all the BMW car in him house (near by there) & the cost also reasonbable try to call him 0193201125. Good Luck!!!!!!!!
