To be fair, the new camry is a level up from the older models in terms of looks... It's more of a Lexus instead of Toyota.. As for driving dynamics, I dare say it's not there yet compared to BMW. That's because it's targeting different segment at different price range...

Thank you for all feedback

Bros,
tq for all your valuable comments. Actually E46 3 series n new Camry were both under consideration 2 mths back. The new Camry is luxurious, as it's Lexus design. My bro in law has one, n i love the interior a lot. Interior wise, definitely better than Bimmer. The reason i decided to go for 330i of cos is the unsurpass driving experience once you owned a bimmer b4. 2nd is becos i could get a 330i bimmer 4 RM70K, yes, RM70K, half the price in Msia and almost same as Camry. So, why not right? for bros in shock, i stay in Miri, neighbor to brunei, and i 'could' drive a brunei plate car. only thing is, every 3 mths need to return there n stamp, n another thing is i have to pay CASH. My boss has a point there, which my wife oso said so. The 3 series is too small size for doing business. u c, i need to entertain customers n bring principal around, so camry definitely a better choice for that purpose. 1 bro is right to say that can wait. i m 33 n still can wait a bit longer la. In 4 yrs time, i cud get a 2004 330i from brunei for RM70K too as my own driving pleasure. Or by then i could sell off my camry and buy a 2004-05 525i or whatever. Just to give u guys an idea, 2nd hand car price in Brunei is typically half what u get in Msia. When i was thr for 330i, thr was a 2003 735i selling for RM169K (neg). But cond not optimal one lah.

Hello bro,

For me I go for fuel consumption and powerful drive. 325i will be good enough for you I think. Nevertheless what is the frequency u ride > 200km/h. My ball already shivered when the ODM touching 180km/h because cannot identify how fast it is cause by impressive sound prove by my ride. I am proud of my bimmer when across the highway.

Both are 2 different categories of car. Depends on what purpose you want out of your car. Your boss is right if you want to use the car to ferry around clients. Unless your clients are all also car nuts, they would more likely appreciate the comfort of the Camry. I have a 2005 Accord 2.4 as well. While my 325 easily beats the Accord for sheer driving pleasure, the Accord has it beat when it comes to comfort and sheer spaciousness.

Just to acknowledge you the different between New Camry and Ultimate Driving Machine. When u press the acceleration pedal.... bimmer give what u need especially during overtaking others. The Japanese car take quite sometime to boost the RPM before the power take place. It goes the same with the Mercedes, slow pick up but sustain in top speed though.

2001 E46 325i with sprint booster, acceleration better than stock 330i, but no high end power; what you want is torque at the low end, cruising is subjective on our roads...! But then again 330i with sprint booster might bring you to dangerous realms!
