E39 leather seats mod

Just got a good deal for a set of leather seats for rm980.Apart from the driver seat(obviously)they look immaculate.I took apart the driver seat bottom to lift both the side bolsters by putting two layers of foam.My old fabric seat avail fr rm100.Good fr projects.manual adjust.Sent from my GT-I9070 using Tapatalk 2

got the foam from my local upholstry shop.i removed the bottom cushion and went to the upholstry shop and told them to put two layers of foam.they cut the foam to shape and glued it all together.total rm 60.plus a 2x2x1 foam padding placed between the bottom cushion and the metal springs.

Great job moots. You managed to find an upholstery shop to cut the cushion accordingly. The bottom seat has side bolster on each side and one side usually flatten. I only add cushion on the bottom and side bolsters.

Your manual seats adjustment lever and plastic look solid. The electric seat adjustment buttons and plastic is very flimsy. Just like the afterthought dash cupholders. Btw you have any diy ideas on the more sturdy cupholders?

bro chaiks....the bimmerforums has a metal made cupholder put in place permanently ie kenot fold in out of sight when not in use.google e39 cupholders.....

the cupholders don't bother though me as i dont drink nor eat in the car.
