Hi there,im new here and i need your help. This is about my E36 325i coupe.I got this problem during morning time. When i start the engine and drive it straight away, the gearbox warning light up.I had to stop the engine and start it again to make the warning dissapear. After that i can drive my car all day long without any problem. The thing is that the problem occur during the engine is in cold condition.Anyone know why this is happening?can anyone tell me how to sovle this problem??Thanks

had a similar problem , though mine is 318 .
did a diag test & it shows "pressure regulator" .
my mech "delete" the warning .
he told me if light come up again , really need to
change the "pressure regulator" .
Recond one will set you back about RM500 .
But it's been 1 month since I did that & the warning
never came back ...keeping my finger crossed .

:dunno:

tumpang your thread can ah? because if I make a new one it will be the same title.

I get the warning light when I press the accelerator all the way down all the way, then push harder on the tip to gain better acceleration. I think the car "drops gear" when I do this. So when I do this, 4 out of 5 times I will get the gearbox warning light.

I turn the car off and on again and the light will go off.

Is this a serious problem?

My mech tested and reproduced the problem, then told me to start saving for a gearbox.
