Well thanks for the tips. Will look out to it. I guess i'd prefer a 2 door for now...havent driven a coupe before could be a good chance to try if i can find a nice piece.
Was driven around in a friend's dark green 2 dr '97 manual 318iS in Aus, quite responsive engine even on 18" rims..n nice looks...quite surprised about the power cos Ive sat in an auto 320 e36 before n that one was powerless IMO..

97 318is is with the 1.9 liter M44B19 140bhp engine.... the 320i has about 150bhp and with the slushbox... So I won't be surprised if the manual 318is feels more responsive compared to the 320i.
The iS engine is pretty fun to drive. Pretty revvy and once you get past 5000rpm, it starts to sing
Maintenance cost is pretty low and so far despite attaching a snail to it for close to 9 months, the engine is still going strong and I have not replaced any parts. It just shows how robust this engine is.
If you find one, do seriously consider it. There is not that many iS coupe around.
My 318iS is up for sale soon....now waiting for my other car loan to get approved. Not sure can or not la....so if ANYONE here are interested, can PM me and have a look at it.
Spec are the normal one lor...1.8l twincam, 2 door, manual gear shift, sunroof (still working), stock standard (no major mod), M3 bumper, custom exhaust, full service and maintenence by M-Speed. Can check with Ah Meng if wanna know about my car.
Price? Not sure...maybe u see the car first.
