E34 Rear Diff Swap.

Read somewhere in the back issue of a mag. - either Bimmers or Total BMW that the rear diff of E34 ( correct me if i am wrong ) can be swap with the ones from either E30 or E32 ( cant remember which one ).Can somebody confirm this.Thanks.:listen:

AFAIK, there are 2 different casings for the E34... one of them is interchangeable with the E30 medium casing.. Just swap the rear plate. I believe this casing is from the early M20 E34... M50 E34 comes with different rear diff casing.

I am looking to swap out my original rear diff that came with the M50B20 for one with an LSD. Would you happen to know which model it comes from and will all of them fit the E34 M50? Thanks. (sorry to hijack the thread...)
