Sifus,Read somewhere that stock e60 rims can fit e34 without any need for modification...??? no need hubcentric ring and such...??Can anybody confirm that this is true...?I am thinking of putting in a 'standing order' with a few tyre shops, to keep a lookout for any e60 owners upgrading their rims and to call me when they have these in stock... hehehe..I think stock e60 rims would look quite good on my old e34!! What do you guys think...?Any how much should be the appropriate price to pay for the set when one becomes available...?Thanks for any feedback.... :eek:k:

Answer is yes - I have seen E34 with E60 rims. Both have same 5/120 PCD, offset ET20 and centre hole 72.5mm, so no need hubcentric ring. Only problem is that E60 comes with 225/55/16 tyres which are too big for E34 (215/55/16).

I personally don't think the new e60 rims r nice at all. Sorry, I'm on an "anti-buy/ racun" campaign.

Wow! Looks like BMW did something right about the E34 design and now the E60 has reverted to using the E34 size and offset. Nice! :yahoo:

I'm actually using 225/55/16 tires on my E34 and it seems fine. Not too big at all.

If you calculate the rolling circumference of 225/55/16 it's 1% larger than OE but 215/55/16 is 0.7% smaller than OE. Both can fit though on some cars the larger overall diameter may cause scrapping when making full turns.

225/45/17 is too small for E34 - the overall diameter is smaller by 13mm which will affect your ride height and most like cause scrapping when going over humps, particularly on lowering springs!

Im pretty sure e60 rims will fit ok. You can also use an e39 rim which require a hubcentric ring as the hub is 74.1in diameter- see http://www.leightyres.co.uk/catalog/fitment.php for rims spec on most bmws.

I just put one (e39 motorsport) onto my e34 and yest Bimmerman is right the 225/45/17 is a bit small. it should b e 235/45/17. imho the in rubber height different at about 5% is quite small so you may not feel it much in ride quality or gearing.

enjoy..!!

one of the BMW tuning shops at an e60 rim 16" brand new std issue for sale with tires (also new) for about rm2500. can't remember name of the shop but its was around the Damansara Kim/Utama area..

I was tempted but told it does'tn fit the e34...so I ended up with some BMW motorsport 17" rims..

for me .... dont fit your body with peoples shirts... coz can cost u a lot of panau or kurap....

he he hhe

Sorry guys....change direction a bit....I know we can fit 3 series rims into the e34 but may i know what involved and is it advisable....i like the M6 style rims....anyone knows if they have those that can fit the e34? Tx

since the PCD is same juz different offset, juz custom make spacer and fit behind the rims, cannot meh?

what is build for it ,and it is ...well for stylo and rugged is need to be smart to choose what is fits or not.

for 3 series rims when u fit into 5 series it will go IN rite so u just use spacer to push it out?

Anyone seen replica M6 rims (5 spokes) tat can fit the 5 series?

seen a set in MPS Auto sometime ago, not sure if its still there. Direct fit onto a 5 series.

But i though that both e34 and e39 rims should fit one another??
Upon checking in one of the website, the PCD for both is the same at 120mm, but the centre bore for e34 is 72.5 and for e39 is 74.0.. dose that mean a special hub ring is required to fit the e34 into the e39..?
