hi; this is funny and annoying... my wipers got stuck a few times during heaving wiping in heavy rain. the blades would just stop in the middle of windscreen like DTM cars casuing me panic and visibility was bad. afew flicks of the wiper swtich would correct it. or i have to re-start the engine and it would work ok. what went wrong? any ideas? selespeed

motor is about to go.....

go get another one, used or new

these days, it rains really bad, so get it fixed pronto.....

another fix is to remove the motor from the housing, then remove the gears, remove all of the grease and regrease it lightly with high temp high viscose grease, reason is the other types of grease will eventually clog the motor up

this DIY takes about 2-3 hours for competant DIY with full tools
hardest part is to remove the motor from the car body......

thank you teejay!

will get it fixed next week.

no worries

as a precaution, suggest you apply some rain-x or better still, try and wax your windscreen, use those very strong content of carnauba ones, it helps repel the rain

just wanna update this... i had mine fixed. costs only RM5. it is due to relay having bad contacts. soldered by a specialist and it never failed me anymore.

No need to kid. It's tested that rain-X only works above certain speed, 70kph I believe. Ask Jules, he has first hand experience..........

as for me, at 160kph.. no need wipers and rain x.. the wind just swipe all the rain..

fast car la this e30m50b30TU special series...

in rain oso dare to go 160kmh

salute!!

if you have the confidence and know your tires very well, you can do it..
let me teach you how..

had a similar problem on my e46..wipers dont work sometimes..got the relay changed at selvam's RM88..now works well
