Jag, it all depends on how u like your braking feel, how moch modulation. However e30's always had a problem with 'spongy' brakes. But as jules mentioned, you'll need to budget over 1K and it would take some time and effort to source all the components.

Doing the brake conversion is a good start, then there's always the braided brake lines, better pads, better disks, MC conversions, better fluids and eventually even bigger brake setup using non bmw components.

Also ask fab about how a bag of zip ties can help your braking too.

Jag,

Again it depends very much what u want. If you want the biggest 6 pot calipers and the bragging rights - also can.

If you current set-up is good, then just replace it with the same setup....only newer for wear and tear. OR are you looking for track days set up? Are bothered if the brake squeels each time u apply or the dust from pads bothers u? Of course, a 4 disc set up is good to have but again, its up to you.

Dun ask endless question in modding cos u will end up paying ( cos many friends here want to sell/share with u stuff...) and u may not like it the product AFTER u install. I have seen too many ppl discourage from such "advises" and "poison".

Plan ur mods to suit ur needs and budget. Do your homework.....

And most of all, have fun DOING it.

ok here's what my intention is :)

1. value for money
2. enough braking power when need arises,i'm not going to be doing stunts, just occasional spirited driving
3. doubt i'll be taking to track anytime soon
4. preferably not much brake noise and dust

any suggestions with these variables?

and also, i wanna do one shot instead of keep on upgrading,upgrading..because after this i wanna move on to other parts of the car :D
