E30 M20b25 motronic (A) into E28 M20b20 (M) L jet engine....possible?

Dear Sifu....I have an E30 M20b25(A) (originally M40) which is very very rusty...(just feel not worth to be saved), and I have an E28 M20b20 (M) L jet...I'm thinking about swapping the E30 motronic into the E28...is it possible? too much hassle?...Please advise...I know its been done in overseas (bimmerforums etc)...but here?Or should I keep the E28 as it is and breaking the E30 for parts?(which is too much to loss?
