Hopefully some of my question below will be answered.Newbie introducing himself!# What do you drive: E28# -Male / Female: Male# -Picture of you(optional):# -Location: Bandar Sunway# -Occupation: IT Consultant# -How you came about to know bmwclubmalaysia.com?: Auto World Website# -When was it? Some 8 months back# -What were you expecting or purpose coming to bmwclubmalaysia.com? more knowledge about my car and to meet more friends# -What do you expect from bmwclubmalaysia.com in the next 1-2 years? knowledge and friends# -What are you planning to do in the next 2-3years? if about car, planing to use it for daily commute for atleast 2 years. My dream to have a full blown PC in my car with all the specs like WiFi, BT, GSM and etc (remember "Dreams Are Possible"). Plan about life, sorry can't reveal.Hi just bought an E28 (4 Speed M) 1983 model, overall the car is in perfect condition, interior, exterior and underneath are very good but the engine is doubtful. Planning to overhaulMy questions are:- is it worth overhauling or- is it best to change a half cut- if half cut I would want a 4 speed Auto or 5 Speed Manual, what engine will yourecommend- I heard it's possible to install Nissan RB series engine, is that true, isthat recommended, what's your opinion- finally what is the ball park figure if overhaul or half cut BMW or Nissan enginesThanks in advance.Murali

as for ur question i'm still a newbie too so can't give much advice but i'll strongly reconmend you to use back BMW's engine...depends on what ur engine is and ur budget,u can either overhaul it or change a later engine...

that's my newbie's 2 cents,wait for the sifus here to input more ya...have a nice day...

Keep it ori la bro. Put jap engine not really bmw anymore. My bro driving e28 and just overhauled. Everything fine and just changed the normal wear n tear parts and use a good engine oil. He's an auto. Another suggestion.....change to an e34 engine ;-)
