Guys...my E30 M40 front camber is too much +ve (totally out of spec)..according to PO she never met an accident with the car (which I believed her), when I bought the car, it was very clear visually that the front wheel 'tilted' out...so I lower the car using H&R spring...still too much +ve, so much so that every tire shop that I went don't want to do alignment...could it be the strut bent? using wrong lower arm?
Any idea what to be done?

Now I'm thinking to get a new lower arm + bushes, buy a set of strut housing from chop chop (can I use M20 one with ventilated disc?)

Hopefully someone will chip in...

regards
:)

Just browsed thru net and found out that E30 & E36 lower control arms are almost identical and interchangeable...so no wrong lower arm use here..

One popular method here is to "pump" the strut using jack...can it be use to our car?

it may be the strut housing collapse which need the chasis to be aligned

I have the problem with my car..now one side is slightly tilted after doing the chasis pumping

Chassis pumping might not be the best option. It's covering some other underlining issue. Might just be the joints or bushing wear

Thanks Johnj & Slyder..just a bit to ponder, without heavy impact, the strut housing almost impossible to damage right? So, I narrow down the possibility to lower arm..try to change the arm & bushes first & see how..

mine all brand new remember..after years of usage there is posiblity of strut housing collapse..many e30's with the problem

After sometimes....the update, changed the lower arm bush + b8 + H&R spring....its good to go!
