currently im driving an E30 with M20 2.5 engine.... the car is using all round disc-brake. seeking all sifus help to upgrade my current braking system as the braking power is not as good as my satria gti nor my proton wira.

mine is very good...

might be your MC is old or the pads are fake ones.. use the original bmw, then u know the difference...

yeah thats what i thought maybe need to do overhaul on the braking system...

how about other upgrade such as big brake kit?? some said we can use braking system from e36 model?

Jurid Class A pads are good but eats the dics rotors...
And I have zip-tied the brake hoses.. hehe... cheap but effective... Tested and proven in sepang... Before Zip-ties, brake fade after 3 laps. After zip ties cut down a lot on the brake fade... ;)

practical and cost effective i would say

I have heard ppl changing to the Nissan Cefiro A31 brake servo for better bite...

E32 master cylinder mod ( double diaphragm )....coupled with new ATE disc, Pagid brakes pads, braided hoses and fresh oil fluid now makes my tyres squeeel with delight. ( no ABS lar )

E30 brakes..a popular topic. I've got that e32 mod done, but still find that the brake pedal travel still too long and the bite slow. The E30 is just an old gal that needs tons of plastic surgery to look young...you can only so so much before...

most E30's I encounter don't really require uprated brakes. just bleed the brake fluid T H O R O U G H L Y. watch for leaks too

Boss Mizhan,

your car too nice to drive fast....ours cannot....must pecut cos too many defects! HA HA HA.....but anyhow, after my mods - trackdays in Sepang was a bit safer!

Long pedal travel...I read somewhere that righ hand drive E30s will always have long pedal travel to effect the brakes. This is because of the long linkage between the pedal to the master cylinder, which is located on the left hand side of the car. After reading this, i now realize that theres not much that can be done other than to invest in mods like BBKs or just live with this character. ive decided to just enjoy this character of the e30...

fyi, I had an E32 master cylinder installed briefly in my red E30. I didn't like pedal feel, coz contrary to what you guys mentioned, pedal had almost no travel at all! also found the bite to be a tad too aggressive/sudden; maybe i'm just getting old, but I don't like it and prefer standard brakes. so now I have 2 E32 master cylinders in my store..

I'm running with e32 DD with brembos..awesome braking....maybe I'm too young...hehehehe
