The only thing the VDC adds is the additional dynamic drive setting which is the COMFORT mode. VDC does not affect the Sport and Sport+ mood setting. I dont spec my car with VDC but I still could set my car mood into SPORT and SPORT+ setting (chassis and drivetrain or just one of those at one time).

yeah there's differences in suspension settings between comfort, normal and sport (now renamed to comfort+, comfort and sport respectively with the 2012 cars). no diff between sport and sport+.

you mean cars without the comfort setting, you still feel suspension differences between normal and sport?

Yes, the ride on the Sports mode is firmer than the Standard mode. I have the choice to choose how the Sports mode behave too whether its chassis + drivetrain, chassis only or drivetrain only.

Correction to what RH's mentioned

All F10 being M sport or Non M sport have standard suspension
M sport suspension is now optional for M sport car

By default, I repeat by default, the M Sport version would come with the M Sport suspension. But you have the option to delete it and they will swap it with the standard suspension. I mentioned this in my previous comments. :motz:

Source : BMW UK website or you could try BMW.de german website if you like. Its the same.

I had the luxury to spec my F10 from A to Z since im buying directly from Germany through UK BMW ISSD, so I studied a lot about the specs.

Anyways, hows the ride doc? Have u completed the M5 spoiler project yet...? upload some pics..!

Here is what written on bmw Msia brochure.....View attachment 26752View attachment 26753

And the next one is what written on bmw 5 series booklet

If dynamic driving control (as specified in the brochure) = dynamic drive

Then the 528 msport shudder have the active stabilizer otherwise they should have corrected this info on the brochure.

Not sure if this answers the question but I'm merely speculating here, given if both the 20i and 28i are running identical suspension setup, the only logical answer to your question would be the difference in weight that causes the difference ride height. Check the weight if you can from the net as I'm sure there are some difference from engine, engine parts, body kits etc.
