Guys,Selamat Hari Raya to fellow muslim members. I seek your advise.I will be replacing the vanos seals from my engine. I seek your recommendation 1) as to the workshop(pls provide contact number) that has the experience in replacing them any where within Klang Valley. 2) labour cost of such work, 3) Any additional work, fault or inspection that i should look out for and 4) the amount of hours required to carry out the replacement. Also, i will be replacing the original springs on my car with Eibach Pro Kit Spring, any feedback on the product is most welcome.By the way, my car is a E38 728i yr2000Thank you for your time.Kadir Rashid012 2039777

Bro,

As for vanos seals replacement, please refer to http://www.bmwclubmalaysia.com/forums/showthread.php?p=560765#post560765.

Price is between RM180 to RM200. About 3 to 4 hours to complete vanos seals replacement.

For coil spring I would prefer H&R.
For best result, change the abs too.

Any additional work, fault or inspection that i should look out for?

check the two water hoses underneath the inlet manifold.
check condition of spark plugs
check expansion tank, radiatorand all relevant water hoses for any water leak
check clutch fan & aux fan
upon completion of vanos seals replacement, plug in scanner to check and erase any error codes

Thanks guys, Herbert i will be back in KL on Tuesday, I'll Be calling you to pick it up. As for the springs, to my understanding, H&R springs are lower then the Eibach plus i think the ride is a lot harder. Im looking for a little firmness and just a little lower then the original.

M sport set up is the way u go.

Hi Vincent.

Yes, im actually buying Yazmeen's springs. Ive confirmed it earlier this week. Had my doubts on the quality of the ride, but he assured me that it would not be as hard or as bumpy as the others. As the springs is considered to be one of the softest among the sports springs.

Any ways, looking forward for it.

Thanks again vincent

Guys,
Finally, i manage to find the time to replace the Vanos seals today. Also replaced the valve cover gasket, 15pcs of valve cover 'o' rings.
I noticed and feel immediate difference in power after the seals replaced. Excellent. Cant wait for it to be fully run in.

Thanks Herbert.
