Just want to ask other E36 owners, do your cars have the gong which sounds when the door is opened? Saw this on other cars, seems strange my e36 do not have it or is not working.
the gong sounds is more more like a long tengggggg. sound. That device is actually located below your driver steering column cover. where your leg aircon vent is at. try check if is is there. its a round cylinder thingy.
