E36 Glove Compartment

Hi Guys,Just want to know, my ride E36 dashboard glove compartment a bit cacat lar. When i press the button to open, the whole thing like open very fast and open very big. Ask my mechanic, he said that the glove compartment should have spring and a place to hook the spring. But..the hook sudah patah by the previous owner. So how to fix this? anybody know when can i find the replacement for the glove door & spring?By the way, my dashboard is black.Thanks

Either buy a 2nd hand glove compartment or order new one from Autobavaria.....not that cheap though

Attached please find the part for the glove compartment. Which spring is broken?
It don't look like there is any mechanism to slow down the opening of the glove compartment.

Yo! I am not in the business of selling parts. However, I would recommend that you use the online ETK for the parts number. After you have the parts number you can call AB or BA for the quotation and stock. If they are not in stock then you can also try engsoon in singapore.

Normaly kedai potong a round rm150 for complete set from no1-30. Try ask ferry he have bought 1 before...

hmm....looks like I'm not alone...

nway the glove compartment not practical, to me lah...

why want to put cup on top of open glove door...suddenly jalan tak rata, the whole coffee tumpah into the compartment.

the stopper (donno what its called, to prevent the door over extend) is sooooo thin and only sebelah. easily can patah. (my case)

the glove door can be senget sebelah...common problem.

and banyak lagi issuelah...but then...the naza / 206 also doing the same style...and their plastic is much cheaper...donno how long can tahan...

its not easy to find at kedai potong because this kedai potong want to sell the whole dashboard, not just that section...

You forgot about the amount of sound the glove compartment can make.

mine so far so good...no sound...just part no 1 showed in diagram have covered by leather terkopek form the cashing...than already DIY take out the hold thing and put new glue (gum cermin 255) settle... i think safrul you also can DIY you problem. Be creative bro...RM150 for kedai potong tak berbaloi wooo....
