DIY Sun Shade?

I'm thinking of doing my own DIY sun shade. Will this item work well enough for my intended application http://www.thermotec.com/products/14001-aluminized-heat-barrier.html, as it's rated to withstand radiant temperatures in excess of 2000 degrees Fahrenheit, which equals to well over 1000 degrees Celsius!Thinking of doing a folded sun shade.I would want to copy this product here : http://www.autogeek.net/heatshields.html The thing I'm worried about is, does the Thermotec item can sustain being folded and unfolded thousands of times?The general idea is, the heat and sun - reflect item is the Thermotec, glued to a lightweight thin foam pad as backing plate which will be cut into sections to assist folding / unfolding the sun shade.
