Dear Fellow forumers and sifus,I would like to share a dumb car wash experience.Yesterday, after a long day at work (yes i have to work weekends too), I decided to park my ranger back and drive my 5 out for a nice car wash...(too much roadkill on my windscreen).. and since I'm staying in Putra Heights, I decided to give one of those guys here a chance....BIG FXXKING MISTAKE!!!!1st there's these gay couple which started a car detailing business c/w car wash in the Giant in Putra Heights.... I tried them out with my36... sad to say I had to show them where to clean and all the spots they missed... not to mention the wait... so I decided not to go back to them....2nd, I went to this shop in the business center in putra heights.. I thought with such high rentals, these guys have gotta be good to compensate for guaranteed business...Here's what happen...Parked my car in the wash area, and so this big sized dude woke up from the sofa and started walking towards my ride... he took a cloth up and lay his hand on my baby...:alberteinstein: dont the idiot knows there are dirt and dust on my CAR!!!!... then they turn on the pump and started washing la....bla bla bla (hehe, there was a Skyline gathering at the openspace car park opposite... wasn't concentrating for awhile)Then after I ushah the Japan GT replicas... I attented back to my car... the was was almost done.... to dry off the access water.. they used one of those big ass rubber thingy you use to dry of badminton courts and sorts... I was like WTF... oh my the torture my baby went through....If you use wiper blades its not so bad but that big ass rubber is overkill.....To be continued... have to ge dinner.. (father's day la...)

My advise to u, buy ur baby a good cover with UV protect. Like myself, i wont let my baby wash by carwash shop cause i do not believe they can do better than me. There are many reason why i wash myself instead of carwash places.

- A single cloth are using for many cars. stones, chips, etc will mostly stick on the cloth and definitely make ur car more scratches or harm to ur clear coating.

- They will mostly using cheap car wash shampoo. To earn faster, they have to wash ur baby asap, so there might be some places to be miss out.

- Before applying shampoo, they should use water with high pressure cleaning all the dust, dirts whatever that stick on ur car. This is important, it can minimise scratches when applying shampoo.

- Usually i need around 2-3 hours to wash my baby everytime. How fast they wash ur car ? 20-30mins ?
- Before sending ur baby to wash, make sure u make a survey 1st, how detail or how good they take care ur baby. Charges are not important, its only different between 2-10 ringgit.

My advise, try get urself free at weekend wash ur own baby. Its really worth it. Trust me.

I am a 'believer' in that for a long time already. No other detailers can beat my hand wash. I normally spent a minimum of 1 hour to get the car wash in the weekend and will do it very detail. Only if I am too busy ,will get the car washed by the detailer near my house and normally you will need to pay around RM15-25 for the wash instead of paying RM 5-7 for the normal car wash.

We after that like perryyip73 says.. they used those fluffy clothes which looks BLACK enough to kill my paint job... Lucky enough i had a layer of carnauba over but still that wasnt enough to endure these suckers.... I had a yellow torch light at the back of my car so I used it to check and as expected... bloody spiders just nested on my entire exterior... As for the interior (I have cream leather and cream carpets with wooden finishing), they didnt take initiative to do a thorough clean... there are still pebbles on the carpets (who have i been fetching?? hehe) and there are still water stainds on my wood finishing... I wouldnt blame them if they dont know how to clean leather but everything else is not bloody excuseable...grrrrrr!!!!!

This post was pre-sifu training days.. haha.... now I only ONR weekly with pre-tolak pasir work... average hours spent on sundays 4 hours in the morning.. My sport rims are killers for time..
