Since I lowering my BMW,every year when I Drive high speed the car steering can't keep straightAnd a bit vibrating when turning, then I knowThe bushes crack again!Any good bushes recommend ?Which Brand Is Better and Lasting?Pls advise.Tq

So far the original one is still the best if comfort is the concern. I used powerflex before, the car become like a track car. However less comfort especially the uneven road conditions here in Malaysia. Road noise does increase too. It give me 100% confidence in straight line and corner.

I used before the powerflex but it crack and saw the small
Washer inside.then I complain to powerflex uk
They claimed me a new set, but until know
I not confidence to install
Any good tips how to install the powerflex?

Hi...i m looking too. I heard there is another brand from taiwan, can last long and comfort. Just no idea where can get it

by using PowerFlex will it affected the other parts due to it's stiffness???
I remember last time when use PU or hard rubber engine mounting can vibrate the dashboard...
Anyone using it can share???

Yes. I think it will affect the other part if you always kena the big and deep pothole. You must aware of the road condition while driving, drive carefully...
There is a lot vibration on the control arm if road is uneven. That is why the original bush one also cannot Tahan. This is the weaker link of E46.. Due to huge amount of vibration, the original arm bush design is softer and cannot last.
The control arm bush mounting location is also a problem! The vibration and noise can be felt easily.

Mine is slight lowered too... using original ones --> all lower assembly as well as absorbing members (spring is from H&R tho... well at least its really ment for my model and engine) ...

even with bad condition road it really still is intact at least not in just 1 year kaput...

I'd stay away from powerflex (another commercial stunt)

I would say blame it on the absorber and his wife the spring... Common sense tell us that the first person who receive all the big shocks are from the abs and spring... how well this couple perform and reduce what vibration or force implied on them that will judge how much is transfered to the other parts...

and this goes the same as force travel from your tire to the lower member of the car upwards... THUS i will say your lowering spring/abs as well as driving style is the culprit...

But like i said mods that is not well thought off will only bring more pain... and its already painful enough to get it to BMW standards...

Just replaced mine on E46 with Meyle from Germany. RM400 a pair. Gonna monitor how long it lasts. Mech actually recommended SuperPro PU bush which costs RM600 a pair. Last longer and more durable according to him. Gonna try that the next round.

I used meyle and it lasted for one month!!!! Now I used the bush which is locally manufactured and sold by Inner Power. Raymond from Inner Power claims it wil last much longer..will try and see..

I have a pair of powerflex bush used for two weeks and the condition is good. Removed it as it will have squeeks and I don't like squeeks. If any of you interested, it is up for sale.

Lowered car is vulnerable to such excessive wear and tear for a simple reason, the suspension traveling room is greatly limited to a smaller area which focuses the wear on those particular area. I had a FWD saloon that replaces drive shaft every 6 months.. those were the days.

I did bought from In.Power two years ago Brand GAP - RM85/pc and use till now still in good condition.

So it's like only RM170 per pair?! That's almost 50% off the German brands. Gonna opt for that for next service then. For the vast price difference, it's still worth it even if it last just as long as those like Meyle and Lemforder.

Last month bought from BA qty 2 Lemforder control arm bush for RM 135.00 ( 2 pcs).

Deng, the next time I gonna buy my own parts and try other workshops. For the price I paid, that's more than double. Current workshop doesn't allow me to purchase my own parts.

Where are you? KL, PJ or else where? Recommend workshops to you that accept BYO parts.
