Hi all,Am considering buying 320i or 320d. Which is better?I also heard and observed that BMW cars are not as reliable as Japanese car. My wife drives a Nissan - extremely reliable and had not encountered any issue with it at all. I drive a Peugeot that keeps jerking which they could not fix and I had to change the air condition compressor recently which obviously cost me a bomb (RM4K) too. With the bad experience encountered with my continental car, am in a dilemma as to whether I should get another continental car or the reliable japanese car..Please help advise. Thanks!

You love driving? Then get the UDM. Get a BMW. You want to drive a hearse?-get the Camry. Between the 320i and the 320d, its a no brainer-get the 320d, dude! My 320d buddies will back me up on this. Wait for their comments. Then wait for the 320i owners comments-probably none.

andrew, if you're uncertain about continental cars, better stick to a brand-new japanese car.

Yo lor.... what you see sometimes not necessarily what you gonna get... so, don't simply jump just becoz others jump. Those guys already veteran swimmer.. and they enjoyed very much .... haha...

definitely the 320d ...and in my opinion there is no comparison between a bmw and other japanese cars because its a world apart ..and japanese cars arent as reliable as it used to be..

I'm a 320i owner ... and i test drove the latest 320d with i-drive ... the power deliver really very big difference eh... 320d is the way to go dude... and the new 320d m-sport suspension seems not as hard as 320i m-sport 09' ?

wow... such good remarks about the Diesel brethren..

makes me itchy want to try out.

I thought the E90 320I is pretty decent and a very good alrounder, being a city car or a highway cruises.

u should test drive the 320d .... haha... before that i also have the same thought as you... but after test drove 320d... i felt E90 320i really lack of power.... underpowered i should say... even a civic 2.0 can overtake u easily... :/

I think the biggest difference is the torque between diesel and petrol version. As we all know, daily driving in the city would be more fun with higher torque rather than bhp.

Did you changed over to the dark side??

I asked my Mom the other day whether she is keen on changing the car, but her answer was no, The car was a gift from my late father and have a lot of sentimental value. She wants to keep it as long as she can. At the moment, 35k kms....
