Hi guys, I am currently looking to buy a secondhand BMW 320i e90 which is a 2005 make. The milage is at 78000 KM, as the previous owner very rarely used it. Anyways, with that said, i was wondering about the maintenance and wear and tear of this particular model. Can other 320i owners enlighten me on this matter.

Is this an easy car to maintain? will a 2005 model bring about a lot of problems, seeing that it has some years on it. I would truly appreciate any advice or tips in regards to this car.

Thank you so much guys!

Sure there are wear and tear parts to maintain provided the engine and gearbox are in good condition. Low mileage doesn't mean don't have problem.

Sure, thats definitely true ..... if the engine and gear box is fine, are the other costs to maintain wear and tear matters decent in terms of pricing ?

i have the 06 model btw.....when u 1st receive your car, bring it for engine & ATF fluid change, that is the most important,
if u have extra funds then change the plugs, air filter, brake pads etc......

I don't usually look at mileage as it could be tampered with. no point having low mileage but have worn out seats, oil seals, carpets etc....
from there u will get the idea that the odometer has been tampered with.

is the car easy to maintain? yes & no. as most of conti cars are not really suitable for our hot climate, unlike local & jap car. conti cars does have a lot of sensors, thus
becareful when going thru a puddle. avoid all puddles that are half the height of your sport rims, if it does exceed do prepare 5 figures for repairs or engine change.

the engine oil brand depends on u. but for me I choose Castrol for sure, either magnatec (semi syn) or edge( full syn) depends on which oil has ongoing promotion.
semi syn - change @ 5k kms
full syn - change @ 7k kms.
