Confused on E90 - DTC

Dear members, i have a noob questions here about DTC which make me confused.A mechanic used to tell me that when the DTC indicator light is up on control panel, it means that the DTC is "OFF". Is this true or the opposite? :stupid:Kindly advise. cheers.....

When you press the dtc button it disables it and not turns it on.

The warning on the dash is to tell you that DTC is disable.

by pressing it 5 second longer all stability control are off which means you can do something you are not suppose on public roads cheers

Have you gone through your user manual yet? I suggest you to read it first..

One press will deactivate 20/30% of the DSC/DTC and a longer press, 5secs or more will deactivate all the traction control.. you will see a triangle mark and then you are on your own..

Our car is still not easy to get out of traction even if its off, if i want to play i have to do it on wet roads..

You want to know more about DSC then you have to sign up for the bmw training..
