I am starting this post again since all the old threads on this subject are gone.Anyway I am planning to repaint an old E23 728i and change the colour. I am thinking of using Dupont paint but if the price is right, I don't mind going for Glasurit. Anyone know how much am I expect to pay for such job? The next obvious question is where is a reputable paint shop that forummer uses for such work? There were many names floating around previously but I lost all of them. Anyone care to recommend one and give some review on their workmanship etc? TIA.

Jalan Kilang off Jalan Tandang ..PJ Old TownThe restoration shop in front of Perodua Motorsports / Service centre. The workshop have may classic cars parked there....

m30revival : i heard so many gd stories (price n quality) on pro garage, consult kevster fer their contacts n quotation ... n best wishes :)rgds, B)kahar abdullah

LIAN HENG's the one you need to seek. IMMACULATE, abt RM3k for same colour or RM4k+++ for total change of colour. Everything is Glasurit from undercoat to lacquer with 1 year warranty.

Yup! Did my e21 with them recently. Only thing is bubbles came up - sent back to them - no questions asked - they re-welded the offending spot. Still waiting to get mu e21 back. You have to give them a lot of time to do it. My e21 took nearly two months to do because of the welding involved. But the finishing is good!!Change colour - budget up to 4K if no major dents and/or rust.Talk to Patrick of Progarage for a quote.BTW, they are the painters for the Sultan of Selangor's cars. Saw a few classic ferraris and even a mini jeep belonging to the Sultan. I even saw the latest model 7 series being repainted by them.

Guys, thanks for the lead. Will check out these places tomorrow and see which one suit me?Heard of ProGarage from another forummer but only concerns is that they take their time to do the work. Another not so crowded shop quoted me RM3K using Dupont paint for 10 days work. Will check out more.Where is this Lian Heng located?

dvng,Thank you very much for the address. The challenge is to find the place. Not too familiar with Kajang other than that Khuen Seng (I think) place to check if they have any E23 parts.

M30revival, hope to catch up with you at the workshop. Need to see how you are restoring your car.

Well call the workshop owner to see if I am there. I usually hang out there after 2pm on Saturday.
