Great stuff guys! In perspective, what the roadside carwash has is a powered jetspray and soap..... plus some cloth or two to wipe dry.

More often than not, these guys are often in a hurry to get cars cleaned so that they can proceed to the next customer.

Krismas.....I'd like you to move into my house!!! LOL...that's crazy with a capital 'K'! Wahlao. Detailing must be a 12 hour process!

LOL...Ennui78. PG, KL, SG...which house? And crazy doesn't start with a 'K'!!! Hehehehe.......(you know I'm j/k right...)

12 hour? That's bullet quick for me. I'm not at that level yet. With all those stuffs that I have....I still need to spend at least 2 hours to even properly wash ONE car. So I guess you can say that I'm still an amature....:smokin::smokin:

Awesome KC bro.

Goes to show that, with the advent of technology, with rinseless washing etc, the old days of stocking up on those materials are long gone.

The optimum range. :top: Simply epic.

One day I must own them all. :4:

That's quite true, I do agree to a certain extent. I also realised that I've got too many products that I couldn't dream of finishing them in my lifetime. But...what the heck....for us hobbyist, it's the collecting, testing, trying and keeping up with the non-stop developments that made it so much more enjoyable. Also, trying out all those products kinda broaden up the mind to the fact that "the more you learn, the more you don't know".

Never try, never know.

Haha. We all learn from our mistakes, and trials and tribulations. And of course, hafto thank the Internet for making it so easy to disseminate & share our experiences with each other. :top:

Just curious (aren't we always:rolleyes:), how does FI's polishes fairs against the Menz? Pros and cons?

It is hard to compare these two polishes together but i will try my best as i havent tested it side by side on the same paint in the same temperature and humidity on the same pads and machine and i do not have them with me at the moment, back in Malaysia for holidays and i didnt bring them back.

Been using Menzerna polishes for about 2.5 years and FI polishes close to a year. FI polishes are developed with cleaners in them and from what i have seen, it seems to leave the surface cleaner than Menzerna polishes. They are also designed to have a much quicker working time by having less lubricants so it takes about half the amount of time that Menzerna polishes take from what i have seen. The FI range also requires you to use less product as well, so you will have to get used to using half the amount of polish per panel or you will have issues with clogging. They both contain diminishing abrasives so the method used to work the polishes are the same.

The polish that has the biggest difference when comparing is FI heavy with Menzerna Powergloss. FI Heavy is much easier to work with, it has the high cutting abilities of Powergloss without the effects of dusting and it can finish without holograms depending on the skill of the user and it doesnt clog up the pad the way Powergloss does.

Hope this helps :)

Thanks for the info. I was just curious as FI isn't a common name around the detailing communities, here or otherwise (that I know of). I'll look up and read about them later when I have the time.

Definitely right on that, its not so well known in the other communities as its more focused on Detailing Addiction and mostly in Australia. I have tested the polishes during and after the development stage and will admit that it has taken huge strides in how well it works. Be sure to try some, its right up there with Menzerna if not better. If you need any other info, be sure to let me know (or my brother, im never on this forum).

Would love to get a chance to try them. I'm just a sucker for trying new stuffs. How can I get them? Actually my wife just went to Australia around a month ago...missed that chance. Maybe another time.

No more updates ahhh. Come on, I'm sure the big boys have more toys to share....

Anyone can attest to Autoglym products and their effectiveness?

Haha... No balls to try using detergent on the paintwork. If those plastic/rubber panels or the engine bay nooks and crannies, then maybe yes... :p

And using sunlight on the rims is like using a duster on the whiteboard... :4:
