Hmm, what's that?

I was told it is something to do with 7 drums or something.

Affan66, I am ready to return the Chesky CD to you. Let me know when you bring you Bimmer to work.

Safri Duo, Genre - Electronica

Danish natives Uffe Savery and Morten Friis met in 1977 while participating in the Tivoli Garden Boys' Guard and later attended the Royal Danish Conservatory of Music. The two created an experimental project called Safri Duo. Discovered by a label executive working for a classical department, they teamed up with a trance producer and signed with Universal Denmark in 1999 to make a dance/club record that combined traditional ethnic and last generation instruments. Safri Duo won a Danish Music Award for Best Danish Club Hit with "Played-A-Live (The Bongo Song)," released worldwide in January 2001.

Hey ...

A fellow Maniacs fan! Yeah, Our Time In Eden ranks as their best studio album ... The Wishing Chair hovering closely. Remember how the fans and critics panned their 1st album post Natalie's departure ? Love Among The Ruins was on it's own a commendable effort .... with poor Mary Ramsey taking the mike but the sheer expectatation of having to fill Natalie's shoes and this urge to show the world that there is life after Nat killed it altogether. The album was shred to pieces by both fans and critics alike despite it sounding somewhat groundbreaking for a Maniacs album. Such was the impact and influence of Ms Merchant on the group and their fans.

Cheers,

Borrowed an RM 8.00 2-CD set of Cai Xin from Roland1888 today. He had bought it during his recent trip to Genting and for that price, it came with nice book-like CD sleeve and printed material .... and some nice pics too. Since I am still looking for the Cai Xin & Friends CD, I though this wud help to soothe my longing for her temporarily. Ironically, the CD had the HDCD label on it and as I played it .... it actually sounded as good as most mainstream recordings that normally cost several times more. Came home, parked and sat in the car for another hour so before nature called ... my tummy wanting dinner! Either way .... what a way to drive home, baby !!!

P/S - Thanks Roland ... I'll return the CD back to you .... like in 5 years time.

tower records sucks. Lousy selection and very slow when it comes to customer service. I wanted them to get me the Safri Duo CDs and they didn't bother to call back if the CDs arrived. Went there twice and forgot.

Decided to go to Victoria yesterday and got these:
Safri Duo #2 and #3
Il Divo (2nd album)
Pussycat Dolls (yeah baby yeah...)
Black Eyed Peas (Monkey so and so album).

Will try it out over the weekend. :D

aiseh, go CD shopping also never call! hehehe

Wanting to spend on some more original CD and now have to wait for another day.

Tomorrow going USJ? I will be there in the morning.

Picked up a sleeper this evening. A nice CD called Acoustic Voices ... or something like that at CD Rama. Line up of singers seemed pretty good - Eva Cassidy, Lisa Loeb, Edie Brackel, Beth Orton, Gabrielle and a few super voices. Played it on my way home ... first track was my sweet Eva doing her rendition of Fields of Gold - plain mind blowing! The next few tracks just flowed nicely ... didn't even care about the jam. Super CD ... bringing it with me for the ICE TT ... great for staging and vocal imaging!!!

Cheers,

van,
that CD is good. The Fields Of Gold track is awesome.

Been listening to Dave's True Story lately. So relaxing. Perfect for the past week's relaxing drive downtown..

!@$@!$@# arrggh back to work today!!

The bass extension on Gabrielle's Sunshine rattles my rear parcel shelf. And this is with just 400W going into my CDT ... cilaka - time to reinforce the rear parcel before the JL W6 comes in. BTW, will go hunt for some nice CDs when I'm up there next weekend. Need to pick up Eva's albums ... my last one was borrowed by a scum of a friend and it never came back.
