Buying E34 :: Has issues, Need advise.

Dear members, as a ritual here, Im supposed to Introduce myself before I post my first thread. My name is Manshaan and Im about to embark on a wonderful sweet journey in owning a bimmer. Im very likely to purchase a sweet 89 e34 325 tomorrow (Sunday - 14thJune) and before doing so could use a couple of tips from you guys in regards to the following :-1. Oil slump gasket leaks a bit (how much will this cost to replace ?)2. Windscreen has a chip (how much to replace?)3. Temperature gauge goes up and down suka hati although the temperature of the radiator is fine(whats this problem ? is it the thermostat? - how much to replace ?)Thats pretty much about it. Otherwise I reckon the rest of the car is in pretty decent condition. Being an 89 of course it inherits some of its chronic problems. Hope that your feedback(s) would helpRegards,Manshaan
