I found this real weird...when I slam harder (not emergency brake ya!) to stop my car, driver's side brake judders real hard.Like something is falling off! The most notable is, I'm losing grip!!:eek:Yeah, no BRAKES!!!! It's like the brake pads are slipping off....it's scaring me now!I had change the pads, brake fluid, center rod, tie rod, lower arms....

might be ur tires giving away and ABS kicked in earlier than expected

probably brake rotor wraped.

quite frequently happens in lower quality rotors and at high speed..
advice to change and purchase ori ;)

also get mechanic to check all brake assembly whether it is properly secured!

i have the same thinking that the disc have wraped, since u already spend so much changing so many thing, y not change the disc as well. u can try ATE power disc for RM 200/pcs coz i heard its good and its OEM for BMW

Hmm....mech says rotors are fine...btw, this happens on a very very slow speed (5-10k/mh).....

Nevertheless, will get the rotors checked once again. Thanks everyone.

Haaaiyah... y never say properly wan. Kena slap then u know :D

aiyoo...never wash the rotors while hot, I think ur rotors warped...not wraped.. run in the brakes....do not break hard when installed...to be safe, pls break early, dun tailgate.

soft breaking for abt a full feul load la....after that, whack!!!!!!!!

This is a reminder for you Tongsatriani. Do wear and tear preventive measures la. Now you are spending when you dun do it.

wanna ask you...do you check ur tyre pressure?

Zoggee Ko Ko,

Aiyo, the only time my brakes brake really hard is when u endorse my ABS mah!

I did all u said...tyre pressure checked fortnightly, din even drive & brake hard. How to do preventive measure??

So, rotors at fault? Or something else? Help la as I'm up to Genting quite often liao:(

aha...:)Genting??? Call me la..love to have a drive up too.:D

Change the rotors:cool:

could it be the bushes or the ball joints in the connecting rods in the front suspension???

tong, when was the last time you changed the thrust arm bush (upper arm)?

Upper arm? Never ever had change those....:(....is it as expensive as lower arm?

Oh yeah, the judder came from driver's side front wheel. I'm pretty sure it's from there as that side seems like collapsing...something like the shocks are breaking off!

Tong, upper arm bush cost about +-RM75.00 per piece (oem brand-Lemforder), normally change in a pair. A good workshop should have the simple machine to pump the old bush out & new bush in.

In your judder case...hmmm...still need to check and confirm which part(s) is actually "kacau"...,

But it sounds to me as your upper arm bush is at fault. Or maybe some bolts and nuts need to be tighten up...

Good luck bro.

Here is the outcome:

1. Undercarriage is good.

Potential culprit:
1. Change from DOT 4 to DOT 5:eek:

2. ABS sensors; due to rear rotors worn & braking ability has been limited rendering ABS to kick in.

I'll go for No. 2 first....stay tune!

Why are you using Dot 5 brake fluid? Flush it out dude.

No worries Master Zog, I'm still with DOT 4. I was recommended switching to DOT 5. Siao la!!!
