hey all taikors, how do you guys "break in"? is it not to rev over 4.5k rpm and keep it below 160 km/h as advised by the BMW owner manual?

or this controversial method of running the engine hard --->

Seems to suggest that this break in method will give your engine more power in the end.

Btw, may i ask, for the first 2000km on your F30, do you guys rev until 5000rpm?

I have had a few occasions (9-10 times) the engine is rev to 5000rpm. The manual advise not to rev 4500 rpm for the first 2000km. Have i damaged the engine or affected its future output performance?
