Have you check with the mechanics???? Or ask Mr Google???
Although there are a number of DIYers here, but no one that hardcore to use strong chemical solvent for DIY job.. U think we all got no day job ah??? :p

Try degreasel or toluene....but sand blasting will be the best option. Maybe you can ask sport rims shop where they normally polish the rims. Just my 2cents! Very creative table if you finish it.

no need degrease or anything.engine has been sprayed silver grey and it looks nice.now searching for custom made glass factory.tq for you suggestion anyway

this saturday go to frame shop

IKEA is a good place to get it because their tops are reasonably priced and most importantly made from tempered glass.

Definitely don't use standard framing glass, if someone fell onto the table or dropped something on it there could be serious injury.

You should also be able to order tempered glass from err... glass shops.. I don't know what exactly these shops are called, but I've bought tempered glass from them when I installed shower screens in my bathrooms. And these can be custom cut to your required size. Sorry don't have contacts as I last bought them 9 years ago, forgot all the details already.

just bought a 3feet x 2feet glass with 0.5cm thickness

next step is to stick the glass to the 6 piston crown.any suggestions on what glue to stick the best?

glue?????

not sure how's the piston look like, but if it's recessed in the middle and the side rim is flushed onto the glass surface... u can heat up the pistons with the glass rested flushed on them... And when the pistons are left cooled to room temperature, it will create vacuum sucking the glass without any use of glue...

anyway, it's just my common sense talking, haven't put them to test before.. Theorectically, it should work that way...

totally awesome man!! make sire u spray the pistons too!!
