Got my black plastic bits

Found this in MK Autoparts Kepong, they have quite a few E39's just arrived.

They have a complete front E39 530i ready for conversion. Wont even let me have the headlight sensor.

Black sill bits and front seat rail covers:

nice! the old bits u plan to sell or keep?

kilatnya kete and nice rear cupholder...did you got any idea where can i get it

bro if u need help on the o2 sensor we can do it at sp later after raya. just make sure your engine cold first before starting diy. otherwise your hand bulus all gone later. lol

also i did google on the sport seats this morning and it's true like u said, nothing looks like mine. it looks like a hybrid between the two sport seat designs, perhaps previous owner had modified it.

Changed o2 sensors (both pre-cats)

Already did the o2 sensors bro this morning before 8 while the engine is cold.

Thanks for the tools. Definitely I need to buy these.

For others, my car has had the o2 sensor alarm since I got the car when scanned with PA Soft, but before this it only warns of the electricity voltage or something like that and the sensor is still working.

On Tuesday finally both the pre-cat o2 sensors gave up life. At first I had an Engine Check Light on, without any difference to how the engine runs. Scanned the car and confirmed its the o2 sensors.

Went to see huskar3399 above to borrow his o2 sensor removal tool and planned to do it in Batu Pahat this raya season, but since yesterday the car started running rough and when scanned the cylinder 1,2, and 3 are misfiring.

So this morning I decided to change the o2 sensor, before going through the traffic jam to Batu Pahat tonight.

The o2 sensor were not new, they were from Harbhajan's car.

7.15 am this morning

Tools borrowed from huskar3399 (thanks!)

Tackled the easier front one first. Just trying to see what's I'm up against

With the correct tools it wasn't so bad to remove and refit

First o2 sensor out

This back one looks like a real bitch to get to

Luckily my hands were small enough to manoeuvre around the manifold and the heatshield to reach the sensor

Insert the ratchet tool and turn away

Put the connectors back and both sensors done under half an hour

The tools that I used

The special o2 sensor socket

How it works

Put everything back in the box, connect the computer to the car with PA Soft 1.4, clear the errors, engine now runs smoothly =)

Nice set of tools to have. Nasib baik takde bulus tangan terbakar because of the engine already cool down the whole night. Bro Haywire see you later today if you come back to BP. Drive carefully bro.

haha u totally beat my time. so what's next? your icv?

also the cel warning u cleared came back last night while i was warming up the car. but it does not really affect the car performance which i could feel. no idea what else to check.

I was charged RM200 for that job for my E36, 4 years ago and RM60 for GT1 scan after O2 sensor is replaced. Not sure about today? Hey how much the blue box set cost?

Wow quite pricey. That blue set is around 200+. But the most important tools is the swivel connector. Really handy in twisting around the o2 socket. The 02 socket itself cost me 55rm. Do let me know if u plan to borrow. Hehe.

Any spark plug opener in the bluetool box? hehe?
