Yes, i can confirm that you can access Internet and BMW Live, Google, Facebook, Twitter via bluetooth or USB connection to your smartphone. However, not all smartphones are supported.

I can connect it with my iphone with the BMW Connected App, and able to see the last mile and those informations. The only thing is that i cant connect to the Internet, anyone knows why?

You have to turn on personal hotspot before you can access Internet and BMW Live.

Yeap, personal hotspot via bluetooth is where you would get you internet access from.
In my case i need a software upgrade. You can upgrade it yourself using a USB stick from "http://www.bmw.com/com/en/owners/navigation/bluetooth/bluetooth_software_update_vin.jsp"

Does anybody able to use the Plugin function using the ordinary Apple USB cable on a 328 F30?

I was made to understand that the Plugin feature is only available if Snap In adapter is used.

What's the plugin for? I notice it but not sure how it works. Snap in adapter for iphone 5 is still work in progress from BMW. Can't wait to get one for my f30.

The plugin would give a nicer presentation, have a look here --- > eg. "http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p6guF-cyhU4"

I turned on my hotspot, but still failed to let me access the BMW live, internet, etc. I also updated the software as per your suggestion. I must have missed out some settings in i-drive? Could you please elaborate more on the setting?

thanks!

When u download the bin file from this link, what's next. I try to copy this file in the main folder of my USB, but I drive doesn't recognize it. On a 320d.

Check that your USB is formatted to FAT32.

Check your bluetooth configuration and make sure that data transfer has been 'ticked'.

Mine has No chime frm day 1 bro..

My car will only chime if you did not put on your seat belt and after the car started moving.

Yes, the data transfer option has been "ticked".. I have a question: Isn't it turned on the Bluetooth and let it connect to my iphone and then turn on my "personnal hotspot" in my iphone later. Is there a specific step i need to follow?

Is t correct that the sms and email cannot be shown via the "Office" in the i-drive? Which phone actually can allow to sync sms & email in the i-drive? Mine is 328i. Thanks.

Bro, you have to pair your iphone to idrive before the connection can be established and data transfer can be achieved. Did the idrive prompt you to enter any code? You have to key in the same code in your phone and idrive. SMS and email can be displayed on idrive with iphone no issue. Make sure you have the latest iOS and idrive soft wares

Today is holiday, it's good for me to play more in deep with this functionality. Finally, I've got the correct way: I need to update the service status, then the BMW live & Internet service will be activated....
Thanks.
Regarding the SMS and email on i-drive, I can saw 1 or 2 latest sms, but not all. I think my iphone & i-drive has been updated with latest OS.
I will check again.
