Yeah Danc. U are absolutely right. Finally I managed to get everything rectified and honestly, BMW Malaysia have done their part to get this thing resolved once and for all. Car engine is in absolutely good condition. I can now really feel the difference. It is silky smooth and of course the "power" is there. Keeping my fingers crossed everything will be fine from now onwards.

I am just waiting for JPB & E46F and meet with me again to do another round of "power test", just like what we did after our meet up at Souled Out the other day. I think this time around, I can "tabao" our friend's E92 323i anytime, not giving him a chance to walk around telling people his E92 323i can "tabao" E90 325i! hehehehe.... Anyway, will share with you guys more on my new heart in our next meet :)

I hope you are running in the engine now.... and not thrashing it around.... i will get an oil change after the first 1500 KM.... I mean that my personal preference.... BMW will probably tell u to service it following the OBC... just my 2 cent worth opinion....

HOw long did they take to do all the changes? Did BMW MY or AB state why they was a need to chg? Sorry ah if I am being to KPC.

JPB's 323i not bad ler... I was the one behind the wheel running with DY :cool: . I expected a lot less from the 323i but it was quite good, not far off from my 325i.

Also DY, once run in... we test my 325i vs. your 325i with the new heart again heheh.
 
hi hi hi ! me too E46F, we three car test together... wanna.... see if i got two golf bag and two in the car make a big difference....

Danc & bmFIVE, actually I didn't manage to get an official or actual report from AB as to the reason of the excessive engine oil burn on my engine. I did tried to get them to provide me an answer but.... well you know, since they are willing to solve the matter amicabily for me, so I decided to forget it and move forward with it.

Did they change the registration card details for you with the new engine? If so can you share with us your engine no of you old unit? Wanna see how far off my engine is from your sequence heh.
 
They are in the process of changing the engine details on the registration card, insurance policy and of course JPJ record too. Will let you have the details once I have it :)
 
Guys,

As for your test runs, try it again after 10,000 km. Somehow I felt the engine really opened up after that. To me there was quite a lot of difference. When I took a loaner 325 with about 3,000 km on clock I could tell the diff again.
 
DaveY, lets get the ball rolling for the next meet up.... Its been a month to the date since the last one.

Long drive ? short spurt ? lets call it :)
 
Well, I do suggest that we don't get too ambitious and settle for short spurts first. I think DY even agrees that at this stage of infancy, we should do things step by step, the priority being to complete whatever regular meet-ups we plan. Only then, we have the basis to do something grand. Ulu Yam anybody?
 
Eh... I thought the club is going to organize meet or event specially for us E9x owners in this forum ??? I've been waiting for it till now but.....

Well I guess it must be we need to sign up as official members first. Or maybe we should participate in the "lil 3er Fest to Jalan Jalan Cari Makan" on the 2nd of Sept that the club is organizing.

JPB & Bimmer910, for me I am in as usual. Short also can, long also can. Just let me know when :)

Danc, your input on engine loosening up after 10,000 kms is encouraging. I'm almost passing the half way mark and look forward to engine picking up revs as the mileage piles on.
